Remotely Operated Vehicle
I was apart of my school's Robotics team during my highschool years. We were seperated into departments, and I was with software for all 3 years, being the lead software developer my senior year. We built a Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) that was controlled by a controller and had live camera feeds. This team that I was so proud to be apart is called HHM ROV. We won 3rd place in my second year, and once again 3rd place in my senior year. I learned so much about programming, robotics, and teamwork during my time there.

One of my proudest accomplishments was programming the graphical user interface(GUI), sensor manager, and a thruster controller. These were my biggest contribution to the team. The interface is made using PySide6 and the visual elements were designed using Designer. The GUI allows users to see live camera feeds, control the ROV using a controller or a keyboard, and view live sensor data. Thruster controls are based off of vectors created from the user's Sensors collects data such as acceleration, gyroscope, voltage, temperature, and current. Aside from the main vehicle, my team also developed a float, or also known as an automatic profiler for underwater data collection. It's autonomous by commands which can be sent through fom the GUI connected to a local wifi network.
